Release of Second Package of Exposure Draft Subordinate Legislation for 1 July 2014

As part of the ongoing process to implement the aged care reforms, a number of Principles made under the Aged Care Act 1997 (the Act) will be amended or created for commencement on 1 July 2014.
Following the first release of Exposure Drafts of Aged Care Principles, a second release of Exposure Drafts is now available for comment. They are the:
- Exposure Draft Allocation Principles 2014
- Exposure Draft Extra Service Principles 2014
- Exposure Draft Quality of Care Principles 2014, and
- Exposure Draft User Rights Principles 2014
Accompanying this release is an Overview document that provides a plain-English guide to the proposed changes to the Aged Care Principles that will take effect from 1 July 2014.
The instruments will be available on the Department of Social Services website for a period of three weeks each:
