The Chair, Professor John Pollaers OAM, published an opinion editorial in The Australian Newspaper on 12 April 2018 – Aged care system needs code of practice to lift quality of life.

Aged Services Industry Reference Committee

On 14 March 2018,   the Minister for Aged Care, the Hon Ken Wyatt AM MP, and the Assistant Minister for Vocational Education and Skills, the Hon Karen Andrews MP,  jointly announced the establishment of an Aged Services Industry Reference Committee (IRC). The IRC will review and develop the national competency standards for vocational training and implement reforms resulting from the Aged Care Workforce Strategy.
