Dear Approved Provider

I am writing to advise you of a necessary change to the Home Care Packages 2013-14 Financial Report.

The Department appreciates that there have been some issues with the payment system and continues to work with the Department of Human Services to assist in resolving those issues. Some Approved Providers have expressed concern that their monthly statements were not accurate and on this basis the Department granted an extension to Friday, 28 November, noting that a further review of the issue was still required.

In response to further Approved Provider feedback regarding their ability to complete their Home Care Packages 2013-14 Financial Report without complete monthly claim reconciliations, the Department provides the following advice:

  • Approved providers should complete their return using the subsidy and supplement amounts claimed by the approved provider for each service during the financial year.
  • The deadline to submit the 2013-14 home care financial report has been extended to Tuesday, 23 December 2014.
  • Providers that have already submitted their 2013-14 home care financial reports are not required to amend or resubmit that information.
