Dear Aged Care Stakeholder

In the 2015-16 Budget, the Australian Government announced the expansion of flexible care initiatives.  A new form of restorative care, the Short-Term Restorative Care (STRC) Programme, is being established to increase the care options available to older people, and improve their capacity to stay independent and living in their homes.

The Department of Social Services will shortly be releasing a STRC Programme Policy Consultation Paper for all interested parties to provide feedback.  As well as this, the Department invites interested parties to attend a workshop or webinar regarding the proposed policy framework.  The workshops and webinar will provide you with the opportunity to provide feedback on the proposed policy framework for the new STRC Programme.

You will have the opportunity to attend the workshops on:

Workshop One

Date: Tuesday, 29 September 2015

Time: 9.30am – 12.00pm

Location: Melbourne

Venue: To be confirmed

Workshop Two

Date: Thursday, 1 October 2015
