Home Care Package Wait Times

The purpose of this document is to provide information on Home Care Package wait times that assessors can relay to clients, their family, friends and/or carers at different stages of their aged care journey. 

Assessors are able to view:

  • Maximum wait times for each home care package level, which you can relay to those who have not yet been approved for home care, for example to a client at the point of assessment.
  • Expected wait time information for a specific client you have previously approved for home care. This client-specific expected wait time information takes into account the client’s approval information (approved level, priority for service and time waited for care).
