The Teaching and Research Aged Care Services (TRACS) program was an Aged Care Workforce Fund initiative that assisted 16 consortia of aged care providers and universities to operate as learning environments by combining teaching, research, clinical care, and service delivery in one location. TRACS extended the ‘teaching hospitals’ concept to aged care services that offered onsite clinical placements and professional development activities for both staff and students in various disciplines.
